Responsibilities and Duties

HOPE Support Services, Home, Outreach, Placement, Engagement, Support

As a HOPE Support employee, responsibilities and duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Work weekday and weekend hours as is necessary for case needs

  • Work in a range of environments; in homes, in placements, in the community

  • Work with a range of individuals; parents, young people, kinship/foster carers, Department of Child Safety, other Service Providers

  • Attend stakeholder meetings, client meetings/appointments, staff meetings

  • Have high knowledge of case, following case goals and plans as directed by your supervisor and deliver outcomes

  • Reporting; following policy and legislative requirements. Detailed written reports with templates provided, verbal reporting where required

  • Link individuals in with appropriate networks and services where required

  • Provide on call support where case requires, with support from your supervisor

  • Attend any necessary training

  • Implement principles and strategies to role model, mentor and teach necessary skills

  • Maintain professional conduct along with HOPE values at all times

**Applicants require the following:

  • Must have Cert IV or higher in Human Services industry or similar

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in Child Protection or Community Services industry or similar 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Awareness and understanding of Child Protection Act, Charter of Rights, Standards of Care, NDIS Rules 2018

  • Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain relationships

  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure
