At Hope Support Services Australia Ltd, the safety and wellbeing of children and young people is our highest priority. We are committed to creating environments where all children and young people are safe, respected, and empowered to thrive.

 

Our Commitment

• We place the best interests of children and young people first in everything we do.

• We listen to and value the voices of children, young people, families, and communities.

• We respect diversity and promote cultural safety, with particular attention to First Nations children, children with disability, and those from culturally and     linguistically diverse backgrounds.

• We prevent, identify, and respond to all forms of abuse, neglect, or harm.

• We ensure our staff and volunteers are safely recruited, trained, and supported to uphold child safety.

• We provide safe, accessible, and responsive pathways for concerns, feedback, and complaints.

• We regularly review and strengthen our practices to meet the highest standards of child safety.

• Child safety is led by our Board, leaders, and staff at all levels.

• We maintain strong systems for risk management, incident response, and mandatory reporting.

• We promote safe spaces and programs, both physical and online.

• We partner with families, communities, Elders, and cultural advisors to strengthen safety and belonging.
